      The Engineering IT Continuous Integration and Delivery team at Cisco is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help with development, automation, and enablement of their end-to-end software development tooling in the Public Cloud. Engineering IT is a fast-paced group that is working to modernize and evolve development workflows in Cisco Engineering with modern, cloud-native tools and processes. The ideal candidate is self-motivated to accelerate typically slow IT, replace manual processes with automation, and is excited to be a part of an innovative and continually learning development and operations team. We are looking for someone who has experience automating the deployment and operations of IT services on AWS.

      · Experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS

      · Experience with the following core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, Route53 and CloudWatch

      · Experience with AWS automated deployment techniques such as Terraform or CloudFormation or the various CLIs (ex. eks-cli)

      · Experience with utilizing Continuous Integration and Configuration Management platforms, tools, and processes to automate infrastructure provisioning and change management (ex. Jenkins/GitLab, Puppet, Ansible, gitops)

      · Experience automating DevOps processes with Python (REST API / File I/O)

      · Production experience creating and using Docker images / containers

      · Prior experience in applying security best practices to Cloud environments

      · Basic understanding of networking (OSI layers, DNS, etc)

      · Well-versed with Git and various workflows (forking, gitflow, etc.)

      Nice to Have:

      · Experience migrating on-premise self-hosted IT services to public cloud

      · Knowledge of applying monitoring technologies such as Nagios or AppDynamics to gain operational intelligence about IT services

      · Experience scaling third-party software to handle traffic beyond the default configurations

      · Familiarity with DevOps principles

      · Passion for automation

      Familiar with Agile Scrum methodologies
